About 3,000 Mozambican micro-enterprises received training in matters related to business management in 2017, a source at the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (IPEME) said yesterday.
The companies received training in financing, entrepreneurship, business management and accounting, the Mozambican Information Agency (AIM) quotes the IPEME source as saying.
The training focused mainly on the three central provinces of Sofala, Manica and Zambézia, and Maputo in the south of the country.
In Maputo alone, more than 485 micro enterprises focused on topics such as business plan development, accounting, human resources management, risk management, labour obligations, public procurement, quality standards and industrial property.
In addition to agribusiness management, the legalisation of small and medium enterprises was also highlighted.
“In the legality assistance component, 21 projects were supported in the formalisation of simplified licensing and the elaboration of activities,” the source added.
